Back to School, Back to Giving

It’s back to school and back to work season and with this, we want to be able to assist our community in ways that go beyond just curating the ideal skincare routine. In the past year and a half, we have seen how important it is to maintain personal hygiene and how this seemingly simple essential, has been a hardship for many across the nation and the world.
In the Spring of 2020, we at SKINN created our hand sanitizer to help aid with the demand for hygienic items during the global pandemic. We developed the sanitizing treatment that not only kills germs and bacteria, but also nourishes and restores hands with continued use. We saw this as an opportunity to create a product that would continue to be important in the new normal. Today, we have continued to find ways to adapt but also further innovate and create opportunities that go beyond being a typical skincare and beauty brand.
This back to school season, we at SKINN decided to donate 15,840 hand sanitizers to our community at the East Los Angeles College. This timely donation is proudly, the largest the college has ever received to date, and fortunately, this donation came perfectly synched with its reopening. Many students, faculty and staff, and their families need sanitizers due to COVID-19 and the recent surge of the Delta Variants. According to the ELAC Foundation Board member, Gabriel Monares, “This donation can help with the costs associated with the health and hygiene necessities for all at the College. Thank you to the SKINN Cosmetics company and Joseph Torres for reaching out with such a generous donation. I hope this inspires others to get involved. No donation is too large or too small. Please help us help our students succeed.”
